Check ebay for ones already built, often with Windows installed. I got a nuc about six months ago with a samsung ssd, 8gb of good ram and valid windows 10 with a real key certificate for just a few months more than the nuc alone would cost. A lot of people buy nuc's and find that they don't meet their needs.

Makes a great hackintosh for the living room. I have a different, older model NUC that's been exceptional for that purpose.

Good point. Here's a guide to making this one into a Hackintosh [tonymacx86.com].

Has a mini displayport 1.2, and the 520 graphics does support it.

All you need is the mini displayport to full displayport cable.

However it won't do it on an hdmi device.

Not a nuc but I got a gigabyte brix combo with 8gb ram and 120gb ssd for about 120 from newegg

It's a quad core celeron not the best performance but awesome little thing for office, browsing, music and movie, runs quiet and cool

Apollo Lake is getting close. I'm sure these will continue falling in price until they're out of stock.

I just finished putting together a NUC5i5RYK last night. I installed a Samsung 950 Pro SSD 256gb M.2 and 16GB ram. Couldn't get it to install Windows 7 or 10 because it couldn't detect the M.2 SSD drive in the Bios. When it finally did detect the SSD...it won't let me install either Windows. I almost gave up and return it. Took me 2 days to find a solution. Now it's blazing fast on Windows 10. From the post screen to desktop in 5sec! I haven't tried it yet..but I heard 4k is not supported on NUC with 5th gen cpus...
