GameStop still sells the game used for $50. Glad we can finally get it cheaper!

I'm in the middle of re-playing this game (from a Wii disc) in Hero Mode. I wish there was a way to transfer the save data to the VC version of the game. I much prefer digital downloads if they're reasonably priced. I also like the ability to post screenshots online through Miiverse (I've hacked up a way to auto-post them to Twitter), which you can't do from a Wii game disc.

If you don't own this game, it's definitely worth getting at $20.

This is a solid game, yet likely my least favorite Zelda game due to the motion controls. It didn't take long for the game to feel more like a chore than an enjoyable experience. Perhaps if I'm lucky it will be re-released in HD with standard controls and I'll get to replay it in another 10 years.

I actually like the motion controls overall, though I understand if you don't like them that they would be especially annoying on this game. I thought I would miss them in Twilight Princess HD, but that game worked pretty well on the Wii U without motion controls.

According to the eShop listing, this game compatible with the GamePad, so it *might* work without the motion controls. Maybe you have to use a control stick to tell it which way you're swinging your sword, since there are several enemies, bosses, doors, etc, that require the motion controls on the Wii version.

My thoughts as well. Came here to see if this was a non-wiggle stick version of the game. If it was, I would consider picking up a WiiU just for this and the about to release Zelda as well as a couple of games I have some interest in.

Edit: Looked it up. This is the pure Wii version of the game which means it has not coding for the WiiU standard controller. You need a Wiimote and chuck and a tolerance for annoyance.

It's my understanding the game pad compatibility is to only allow the screen to work as a display.

In the Nintendo Direct, Reggie mentioned something about Zelda games "making you feel smart" when you solve their puzzles.

Not so for Skyward Sword. Your companion treats you like the slowest kindergartner in the class and explains most of the puzzles to you. It holds your hand like a helicopter parent and never really lets go. Be warned.

It's not a slick deal if it's full price.

If you can find where this is a PERMANENT price-drop, do post. Otherwise, Reggie was saying something about new deals each week in September.

They've been releasing a lot of rarer Wii games for $20 on the eshop, so this is probably permanent.

However, the game's still $40-$50 on Ebay/Gamestop, so it's good for those wanting it.

This is a ridiculous post. Wii games on the Wii U are $20. They've all been that price, including this one. It's not even a price drop. It's just the price of the digital version of the game.

If it was some kind of discount, it would be reflected on the game's page on Nintendo's website.

ffs, stop overanalyzing.

Yeah, I hate that infuriating wiimote control. Hope they do something about this on NX.

Watch your words or stay tf up out of my thread/s. I asked for proof. It didn't take all that.

I went back and watched the video before I snatched your face off.

I see Reggie said it RELEASED today on the Wii U, so I guess $20 is the permanent price. As long as someone saw this thread before overpaying, I did my part.
