Deal Details

Hey guys,

I didn't see this posted, so I thought I'd share. I found this general-use coupon on a Sears Facebook ad. It will work for anyone, not just those who were targeted with an e-mail or account specific coupon like before.

Free $10.00 in ShopYourWay Rewards Points For Testing A Mattress In-Store
Promotional Page [sears.com]
Valid thru 09/11/16.

I have attached the coupon in PDF format as well.

NOTE #1: Points are awarded the next day and are valid for 14 days after being loaded.

NOTE #2: In the past, there used to be a dummy SKU ($0.00 value) for the mattress or tools salesperson to enter or scan prior to scanning the Free $10 in Points Barcode. There was nothing mentioning this on the general-use coupon above... however, I saw a similar "receipt print-out" offer mentioned on another deal site (Hip2Save). I have attached the image from that as well. It tells the Associate to use Dummy SKU: 082-11119. If you run into issues with an unknowledgeable associate, try that. You DO NOT have to buy anything to get the points. If they tell you otherwise, call them out on it.

UPDATE: I have uploaded a revised PDF of the coupon with instructions for the Sears Associate. The information provided will help you to obtain your points more easily.

There is also another offer on the Sears Homepage [sears.com] (scroll through banner ads):
Members get $5 in Points on Home Purchases of $5 or More (see attachment).

Promo Details:
Members get $5 points on a $5 minimum purchase on a qualifying HOME purchase. Max $5 in points. Offer valid 8/21-9/3. Points valid for 14 days. Receive points 1 day after purchase. Qualifying home purchases includes home fashions, housewares, storage and ready to assembly furniture. Purchase requirement before taxes and after other discounts and must be made in a single transaction. Excludes Mattresses & Outdoor Living & clearance items.Must be a Shop Your Way member logged in at Sears.com to receive this special offer. By accepting Shop Your Way member benefits and offers, you agree to the Shop Your Way terms and conditions, available at www.shopyourway.com/terms [shopyourway.com]..

It's not on their Facebook Page.

It was a sponsored banner ad that popped up as a "Suggested Post" on my newsfeed.

It has a bit.ly link that took me to this coupon.

So I've seen the $5 back on $5 home banner, but I haven't actually seen any points show up in cart or at checkout like the last time they had something like this. Has anyone actually gotten these points or seen them on an actual page (product, cart, or checkout)?

Thanks OP. Reps to you.
I missed out on my test drive a mattress offer that expired a couple weeks ago.
BTW does that babe pictured accompany me for the most important "test"?
I will let them keep the points if so. Big Grin

On Sears.com, the the first deal/ad in the rotating promo box at the top of the page.
"Members get $5 in points on home purchases of $5 or more".

FWIW, the offer doesn't apply to everything in the home category. It also requires OOP spending, which is effectively a max 50% discount if find a $5 item that qualifies.

I also saw this get $10 for testing a mattress thing pop up after I placed an order this morning. Could not load it into my account though. Probably because it's generic.

I just want to make sure it's a generic coupon. Because it's a long drive to sears.

Someone please test it before I do! Smilie

Care to elaborate?

If the cashier is clueless, you can tell them to call 1.800.991.8708. That is the ShopYourWay Rewards member hotline.

The coupon was promoted by Sears, so it should be honored for anyone who saw that Facebook ad.

As I said in the OP, the cashier may have to ring up a dummy SKU. This is an item with a $0.00 price so that the $10 SYWR Promo can attach itself to it.

I was just at Sears. The person in the bed department was clueless as to what to do with the printed out coupon I handed them. I basically walked away.

That's a requirement of being hired at Sears.
