Got 3 of this for around $73 at Target clearance. Ended up returning 1 even at that amazing price. It seems to have issue with inaccurate temp in 1 of the location in my house, a known issue with this thermostat. It gets accentuated when you manually change the thermostat with the touchscreen. The theory is that when the touchscreen comes on, it "heats up" the unit enough to register an inaccurate temperature.
For example, let's say thermostat is set to 75 and the room temp on the unit is 75 while the ac is still running. If I change it to 76 to try to turn the ac off, it still won't turn off and a few minute later the room temp is not listed at 77. When I use my phone to change temp instead of touchscreen, it sometimes still happen just not as often. Btw it happened on 2 of the units.

I got this for about $70 at Target. I use this and the ecobee3. Ecobee3 ftw!

Get the Ecobee. The sensors are what separates it. The thermostat posted seems like a "dumb" thermostat. Just 1 spot it reads the temperature.

I also bought this during the Target clearance event for around $80 before tax. I love it, but I have to agree that it does vary from real temp. I bought a small digital thermometer to compare temperatures and this thermostat ranges from 0 to 2 degrees warmer than the real temperature in the room. So the room is usually cooler than what we set it to. No big deal to me, but it's important to know before buying.

0 to 2 degrees off is no big deal to you?? For me that would mean a comfortable room vs a hot room. If it was consistently 2 degrees off, then it would be easy to fix (the thermostat has an offset feature to adjust a CONSISTENT temperature variation), but it is variably off.

first world problems. 0-2 degrees, while not ideal, wouldn't be a deal breaker. Heck, you can bump it down a degree or two from your smartphone without ever getting off the couch!

Lol, first world problems? You wanna spend $150 on a thermostat that a simple $30 digital thermostat can do better at the most essential thing which is maintain temperature? 2 degrees off could mean the difference that is letting your ac run 4-6 hours more a day than normal in the summer (I live in the south). Not only does this translate to energy waste but over time, working ac harder which in turn will break it down sooner.
