All stores around me show none in stock. Does the store you bought it from show any in stock when you check online? How many were at your store?

the store showed no stock online but was available to purchase when i called. additionally it is "listed" as $299 but the guy who helped me scrolled over and saw the lower price.

at checkout, they simply scanned the product and it came up at $120. provided coupon for additional 20% and no override.

I have this coffee maker and here are a few observations after almost a year of use.

1) This is not for the impatient. Takes about 8-10 minutes to brew a pot.
2) The carafe sucks. It does an okay job keeping the coffee warm but is super akward and is annoying to clean. If you don't screw the top on perfectly the spout misaligns and you pour coffee all over.
3) Its huge. And I mean huge. You practically have to devote half your kitchen to the damn thing.

Overall we are happy. I think for under a hundred bucks its a no brainer. Get the burr grinder that goes with it.....have been very very happy with that.

thanks for the input. repped.

1.i did notice it takes a bit to have it come up to temperature.
2.also noticed that as well. was wondering why it wasn't flowing out "smoothly" but properly aligned, it appears to be ok.
3.it does take up a bit of a footprint. it is very comparable to the ninja one.

will have to research the burr grinder. thanks again.

i picked one up at my local bed bath and beyond. we tried it out yesterday and the starbucks dark roast tasted noticeably better, granted my fiancee's coffee maker was a pos. for this price we love it. really nice machine and well made. too early to tell if we have any issues, but so far so good.

Is this overkill for a single user 16oz cup coffee drinker? I dont really have much use for the kettle other than to use for a french press which Im guessing this would negate the need for. Also seems like a bit of regular maintenance involved here based on reviews for constant "descaling" of the unit with special fluid and the need to stock specific 12-cup paper filters for this. Only considering this because it ends up being much cheaper than the 9-cup version.

i noticed the taste was a lot better as well from our previous coffee maker which was the ninja coffee bar.

this one isn't as intuitive as the ninja but after reading the instructions, it's not bad.

might be, note that you can use this to boil water for tea/whatever as an added benefit.

plus it does have a "rainmaker" shower head which evenly disperses the water.

nearly all coffee makers need to be descaled and from what i can tell, no "special" filters are needed other than 12 cup paper filters which are very inexpensive.

not quite sure but doesn't appear that any other retailers are. even the bbb employee who helped me didn't think it was on clearance until he did some additional research and discovered it was marked at $120 rather than $299

If you 'reserve online - pay in store' will they price adjust when picking up?
