I have a similar product but it really needs a ball mount to adjust the angle. Most air vents don't face the driver at the right angle in azimuth or elevation so make this thing useful.
spend little more money

and get the one that angles up and down,

https://www.amazon.com/Universal-...vent+phone

this is cool and all, but if you have weird shaped vent

this can be very tricky.
I bought one, the promo code is one-time use only. You need to get a new code by liking their FB page.

But, beware - there are zero reviews on Amazon for this product.

That's what I was thinking too.

Also are these magnets safe for the phone?

Yes. Compass will be wonky, but it won't damage anything.

http://www.digitaltrends.com/mobi...rd-drives/

"The vast majority of magnets that you come across day to day, even many of the super-strong ones on the market, will have no adverse effect on your smartphone," says Matt, "In fact, within the device there will be a number of very small magnets which perform important functions. For example, the new Apple Watch uses a magnetic inductive wireless charging system."

awesome. I was just thinking of getting 1 of these mounts yesterday. I have tried a lot of different mounts in the past. suction cup, antislip, CD slot. I gave up on the windshield suction up because it puts the phone too far away from me and also blocks my view. CD slot type makes the phone shake too much.

I loved my iottie easy flex 3 because I put it on my dashboard then position the phone where it blocks right over 1 of my vents. unfortunately, the sticky pad completely melted off in the Southern heat after 3 summers, so looking to get 1 of these to try.

$2 vs $12 just 6 times expensive?
Are you slickdeals or ripoffdeals?

these magnetic ones are just piss poor quality... wont hold the phone steady.

I went with a CD Drive mount and couldn't be happier. Much sturdy IMO.
