Third time this awesome deal has been up in just the past 2 weeks. Can't wait to see it drop down to 450 next.

I really want the monitor now, but know the price will drop another $200-250 the next year.

awesome, I really need a monitor for moderate gaming and work and entertainment. I need something that looks as beautiful and vibrant as my LG OLED tv or better. 24- 27 " max

Does anyone have a curved ultrawide and want to chime in on this monitor? I was holding out for the curved LG, Sammy, or Dell but I don't know if it makes much difference. I'll be using it primarily for gaming and some work. This seems like a great deal but I'm wondering if we'll see a curved uwqhd at this price soon...

i got the samsung and i can say i am kinda on the borderline on either returning it or just keep it as a work monitor, the color are so wash off, people on the net say i should calibrate it but then it still doesn't look right at all, it appear to be like the LCD monitor from the 1999 era,

when gaming the reponse time is waaay to slow, i know its not a gaming monitor but i game on pretty much every monitor i get my hands on and i never complain, this is actually the first monitor i complain on on gaming, its slower than projector.

other than that, i love it because of the resolution, i love it because its curved, i love it because its big and like a piece of art sitting on my desk

as for LG, i still have their ultrawide monitor and it has great IPS panel with solid colors and good reponse time, but i hate it because it doesn't have backlight control, damn thing get super bright, my eye gets really tired after gaming on it after just 6 hours, on my $80 Asus, i can game on it for 30 hours non-stop no problem.

the best monitor i ever had are the Dell Ultrasharp, they have always been great, i believe they use LG panel (I might be wrong), but they are still out of my budget range, i might give their ultrawide curved a try next

I have the Dell U3415W which is curved. I do like it. The curve is subtle but helpful, and there isn't bad backlight bleed like on some of the other curved manufacturers.

I was a little iffy on the 21:9 thing until I've started playing the BF1 Beta. It's absolutely stunning.

IMO the Samsung is the worst of the bunch. I have the Dell and it definitely has a little backlight bleed, but I only ever notice it when my screen is completely black like "sleep mode black". +1 on the BF1 beta being absolutely stunning on it though, and I overclocked mine to 75hz!

No experience with the LG but I've heard the Dells are more overclockable and I recommend it.

I've decided I want the ultrawide format. I do lots of spreadsheets/docutments and web browsing. Do I need QHD or would 1080p probably be enough for me? How noticeable is the difference other than gaming? Thanks!

For those types of tasks I would just stick with 1080p for now. Personally I couldn't justify the extra expense for it and we'll probably continue to see price drops on ultrawides. There's some really nice standard HD ultrawides for hundreds cheaper than their qhd equivalents.

Now that is what you call a gamer - 30 hr's non-stop.

I hope that rest room breaks are not considered stoppage!
