it's both

if you want, you can just play the multiplayer online maps that have been created through "forge".... most people will be doing that, and not creating maps, but it's not that hard to learn how to do and you never know, you could be good at it
any issues with the anniversary update have been resolved. I'm in IT and they have pushed updates to resolved these issues

I'm getting a message that it is not currently available. Perhaps when it hits the windows store app it is based on locality. I see the en-gb so I guess this is only for the UK at the moment.

Edit: I see you need Anniversary Update to play this.

So, for someone who isn't in to Halo... is this a game or is this some sort of editing software?

"This limited free version of Halo 5 won't include the game's single-player campaign, nor will it include multiplayer matchmaking with random opponents. However, Microsoft representatives have confirmed to Ars that the free Windows 10 game will support unfettered online play with anyone on a player's friends list. That means players can create or download a Forge map and invite anyone else playing the Windows 10 version to join in and play to whatever "kill count," time limit, or other win condition they've set. Even better, Microsoft says that this friends-only multiplayer mode in Windows 10 will fully support mouse-and-keyboard game controls."

Eh, I can wait.

So you need the anniversary update. The same anniversary update that caused blue screens of death and other crashes and issues for many Windows 10 users? No way Jose. Not knocking OP, this is a neat freebie for those who didn't encounter serious problems after installing the anniversary update.
