I completed this deal on 09/07/2016. 6 months for $30 + taxes and $2.00 for direct billing option, no CC.

You do have to call to cancel before your service is up. Sirius will auto renew at Sirius present rates. Call and cancel a day or so before your cancel date and tell them you would continue your Sirius service...but not at their present renewal rates. They also have a 5 months for $25 + taxes + their billing fee. I took the 6 months option, give me another month before I have to call and go through negotiations with customer service and transferred two to three times to get a better deal!

I have never paid more than 20 bucks for 5 months. ..I can't always get it through retention, but once I cancel the postcards start coming.

I haven't re-upped again because even when it's cheap I barely listen.

it's hard to get it now
it's usually $25 for 5 months these days

For XM radio, the standard for me is about $30/6 months

$30 is too much for 32kbps mono sound. The sound quality of all the other services are literally 10 times higher quality at 320kbps and stereophonic sound.

this is really only good for the NFL radio for me but I do love to listen to it!

I always get 5 for $25. Sometimes it's easy, other times it takes some effort. I even had to cancel once and waited for offer which took a few days. It's still overpriced at $5 per month, but it is for the wife's ride and it makes her happy.

I was thinking about about paying for a subscription, but they get rid of great channels like Utopia and replace it with Garth Brooks Frown

Other services don't have Howard Stern. Who gets Sirius for the music channels? As you say, they're terrible quality. When Stern's gone, that service is kaput.

I got 5 months for $25 just a few days ago. First they went 12 for $99 then 6 for $48 and then got the 5 for $25. Took about 45 seconds of negotiating.

You know, I didn't realize how terrible the audio quality was on Sirius until I got it included with a car I bought recently. I thought something was wrong with the stereo until I tried another source. It's nearly unlistenable at times.

We had XM in my wife's car about 8 years ago and from what I remember, it sounded pretty good. Did Sirius crank up the compression when they acquired XM, or has it been this way forever?

Price is worth it for Sam Roberts alone.

XM was FAR superior before the so called merger after which great channels like Cinemagic and some of the jazz stations were given the axe or sent to online only (Which was FREE for XM members)

The only benefit was once they merged lifetime subs were offered around $250-$300 and we pounced on that for two of out portable units, but by the time we bought our car, it was nearly $800 so we figure even if we keep the car 10 years we will never even get near that fee with these cheaper deals.
