Hmmm, outstanding questions:
  1. This is a refurb, but is the battery new?
  2. The touch version of this laptop is supposed to have a carbon fiber lid, but WOOT pics show the standard magnesium finish. Poor stock photo choice or reason for concern?

Dell refurbished laptops come with very good quality. I cannot say if the battery is completely new or not but if was bad, it must have been replaced before selling. Also you will get 3 year Dell Onsite warranty and if you find anything, just contact Dell support.

The touch screen is definitely a reason to be concerned. In the description, it says the screen is 'anti-glare'. I don't believe Dell has an touch anti-glare 1080p lcd on the e7270. The non-touch lcd is anti-glare.

Yes you are correct. The Touch version is Anti-Fingerprint, not Anti-Glare. I think they have wrongly mentioned it as Anti-Glare

I bought for the company Dell Latitude E7270 with touchscreen and it has been nothing but trouble. After multiple months of changing parts, Dell said they have Bios that will fix "ghost mouse movements" but it wont come out until later this year to the public. So we are returning it for non-touch Dell Latitude E7470 which i have many of without any problems. Of course, this is just one example and we might have gotten a bad brand new unit. I personally have multiple Dell refurb and they all are perfect.

I picked up a i3, 128GB SSD, 768p, 4GB RAM E7270 for $450 on the outlet last week. $350 more for a touchscreen 1080p, i5 and a 500GB SSD isn't right for me, but it might be for you. Sharing in case you're willing to forgo those in favor of a better deal.

I'm upgrading to 8GB RAM with the $8 Amazon deal and picked up a 500GB Samsung 850 Evo SSD for $140 from Jet.
