Would this be an upgrade from a 3570k OC'd to 4.4ghz? Or is the boost in IPC not enough to make up for the 1.2ghz speed difference?

Not an upgrade as you cannot OC the i5-6500. I would expect it to be slower actually.

I don't think this is going to work too well for any games that requires at least halfway-decent frame refresh.

The Intel 530 video chipset is rated extremely poorly everywhere I look. It also uses shared memory from the computer and doesn't have its own dedicated memory.

Fantastic deal if you don't want to play games. If you want to play games I would pass on this machine.

Uh...huh? Where was this advertised as a gaming machine?
And why must someone "pass" on this if they do want to play games when all they have to do is SIMPLY add a $200 card like the rx470/480 or 3gb gtx 1060?

Unfortunately, even though this computer is a micro ATX, it still is not portable. If you are looking for a portable computer you are better off buying a laptop PC.

Luckily there was this new invention called PCI, it's a bus that allows you to install expansion cards.

It's so hard to tell when people are trolling anymore, it's like everyone went full retard today.

I'm LOL'ing too guys laugh out loud
I'll just throw a couple more bad comments out there off the top of my head:
"Duhhrp - you should pass on this if you need 1TB or more of storage, it only has 128GB SSD:"
"Duhhrp - this PC isn't waterproof - You should pass if you plan to take it swimming or fill your house with water"

man this is nice bundle, so tempted.

throw in 1070($360 last I checked) and free education edition window 10, and you'd have a VERY capable gaming rig for $700
