Bought 5, best price I've seen without a rebate in a couple years. Great find!

Are you installing on 15 devices or can you stack the licenses to get 5 years?

We'll sell 15 individual license uses to our customers. You can stack 1 additional license I believe. You add one license, get 365 days, and then can add a 2nd license to take effect after the 1st one expires.

Very cheap but how does this rate as an overall antivirus suite offering in comparison to AVG, Avira, etc? I've got 1 month free trial of McAfee LiveSafe with a new Dell laptop purchase that is almost expiring and i'm looking for a replacement.

Those Newegg reviews are scary

We've sold KIS for about 5 years and have been very happy with it. Unless it's running on a slow computer, it works perfectly fine, and if you configure it correctly from the get-go, it doesn't annoy you unless it needs your attention to something important.

Customers with kids like it because of the built-in parental controls that work really well too.

Youve never heard of Kaspersky before? Go do some research. Kaspersky is like one of the highest rated anti-virus detection programs out there. Its the only one I use in the past 5 years or so. I would personally never spend money on it because its FAR so often but, to each their own.

And in terms of newegg reviews........ Lets just say there are a lot of idiots out there. That is only 3 reviews out of millions. And it sounds like those guys who left those reviews dont know what the fark they are doing.

I'm currently using ESET, though I have used Kaspersky, without issue, in previous years. Generally Kaspersky, BitDefender and ESET overall ratings (performance impact, zero-day detection, removal success, usability etc) are quite good. Every round of testing sees some slight shift in scores, though at a macro level they all perform well.

My own move to ESET was a combination of a slickdeal on Smart Security and some noticeable performance impact using Kaspersky on an Intel 3Gen Core i5 system (about 3.5 years old). I do believe ESET, BitDefender and Kaspersky seek to address performance issues with updates so my own Kaspersky experience may have been later resolved.

This is an incredible no-rebate deal on a top security suite, so I might buy just to give it a try again.

So I can just buy this once and get 3 years out of it (on the same computer) by stacking them?

Also, they update Kaspersky almost every year. How does that affect these licenses?

Thanks for all the replies. I'm familiar with all the top vendors but I have personally been using AVG or Avast free along with Malwarebytes with no issues. I figured at this price point and not having to deal with a rebate I might just bite the bullet and upgrade.

Thoughts on this versus Bitdefender?

Kasperksy and Bitdefender are always head to head for King of the Hill status over all of the other anti-viruses. And Kaspersky's firewall is now a neck-to-neck contender with the free Comodo which is way overcomplicated and overcomplex at this point (and still with annoying bugs).

I switched from Comodo and Bitdefender Free (the latter of which completely missed a real-time infection). It's not been worth paying anything for the security theater of flawed/ineffective commercial security software over the years (or using the free junx that is woefully insufficient at detection), so for $10 or FAR you are getting a steal on Kaspersky.

I take my security seriously. Only the absolute best for me. Hard lessons have taught me that.
