Clearance items are YMMV.
I just bought a Snickers Extreme 10.5 Ounce Bag at target for 89 cents after using the 50% off Cartwheel coupon for these bags. The bags are already marked as clearance at 50% off from $3.59 so they already ring up $1.78 at my nearest Target without using the cartwheel coupon. .89 after the cartwheel coupon.
This deal can be made of slicker when combining manufacturer coupons, 5% Target Redcard, and .05 reusable bag.
The Cartwheel coupon does not expire till 9/18

Check the below slickdeal post for current printable manufacturer coupons:
https://slickdeals.net/f/8341141-printable-manufacturer-s-coupon-listing-please-do-not-edit-the-wikis?t=8341141
Wiki #11 currently has the below coupon available:
SNICKERS Brand SAVE $1.00 on any ONE (1) SNICKERS Crisper, Original, Almond or Xtreme Fun Size or MINIS Bags (10.61 oz. or larger)
It has been confirmed that the above coupon will not apply to these 10.5 ounce bags. Check the post on 9/11 when new coupons come out.

I believe the Cartwheel App will allow you to apply the coupon to 4 bags in 1 transaction and 1 manufacturer coupon per item.
If the printable coupon works this is potentially a money maker for me.

use an inventory checker to check stock b4 you go to the store and then check the dates when you buy. it's a discontinued item for target. i was stocking up for halloween this past wknd when it was still 3.49, and all the ones in the candy aisle and in the stockroom were dated 10/2016 but i happened to find an endcap w/ bags dated 1/2017.

bring a copy of the target coupon policy w/ you b/c the pos system was just updated to not give overage but now the register and/or cashier may reject the coupon. they are supposed to adjust the coupon to the price of the item but many cashiers think they are supposed to not accept the coupon at all and you may need to educate them w/ the coupon policy. the k1 button is still working b/c they did not test their new pos update and it has been rejecting coupons it should not, so even though their policy and procedure says it no longer works, it does b/c as usual they screwed up their update again.

there is also an internal memo that says to adjust coupons down and gives an example that has been posted on ig, so for sure they are supposed to adjust the coupon down. don't let them reject the coupon out of ignorance, you just have to educate them politely on their own policy and procedure.

Agreed. I have had several cashiers me give just about every variation of applying coupons. I think I have the worst luck with Target cashiers lately. The adjusting price down seems to through them all off.

this is the line which pertains to adjusting coupons down to the price of the item-

The value of a coupon will be applied up to the reduced price of the item and any excess value will not be applied to the transaction total.
http://help.target.com/help/subcategoryarticle?childcat=Coupon+policy&parentcat=Promotions+%26+Coupons

the only retailer who i've heard does any training at all on coupons is shoprite. they make cashiers take a 3hr coupon class. everyone else in retail learns on the job, so they just make up stuff or pass stuff on that they've learned from other people who didn't know what they were talking about either.

in my experience shoprite also has one of the most sophisticated pos systems. still not perfect but definitely a higher standard. and instead of trying to automate coupons over the price of the item, shoprite's pos system beeps for the cashier to examine the coupon and usually needs the front end mgr to use their keycard to approve any coupon adjustments at the end of the transaction.

target tried to do this b4 but what happened is if you got a coupon for $1/3 and each one was .75, it would auto down to .75, b/c it was not sophisticated enough to do the math for 3 items. it got so bad several state attorney generals started investigating so target removed the auto-adjust down and people were getting overage b/c all coupons were going thru. now they are trying to fix it again and they messed up again.

I found it.

I price checked it and it says $4.29, but in brick seek and target app says $2.14 I PM it to the app, she changed it, then I had her scan my cartwheel and she scanned it. She looked at receipts when it was all paid for, and said "you can't do PM and cartwheel. I'm going to have to return and ring you up the PM price" I was like ok...

I'm just gonna bring the receipt back tomorrow and said cartwheel didn't apply. Lol

Don't know why heh think the discounts is coming out of their own pocket

[The manufacturers $1.00 off coupon does not work. Coupon states 10.61 or higher.
Bag is 10.5 ounces. As also noted the exp. date on every bag I found was 10/20/16

Can you confirm that you actually got the coupon scanned at Target and that it did not work?
