In 4 1. Got in on the citibank/15k deposit $400 offer. This one is cake. The 3k DD is cumulative so 1k DD per month for 3 months should do it.

Anybody knows how HSBC treats as a new customer? I closed my account more than 6 months back. Will I be new now?

Based on the following from the T&C if you haven't had a personal account with them for the past 3 months you are eligible:

Customers who held any HSBC personal account between June 6, 2016 and September 6, 2016 are not eligible for this offer.

Not in about four years. Raymond James is still pretty lax about it, though...

HSBC is on of the biggest international banks outside of the US. I believe they are based in Singapore if not mistaken and have a very long tradition. The city of Singapore is actually built on a services economy and bar none are always top notch in that dept. I would say its pretty safe to bank with them.
