If I am already an ATT user with 5 lines and I have a TMO line that I don't really use much, can I port that number over as another line on my ATT (6 lines now) and get the free iPhone 7?

Ha! I just checked my TMO phone and there is a text message from this morning that says they are GIVING ME, FREE, UNLIMITED 4G LTE until FEB 2019! That's 2.5 years! And, what's funny is I'm piggy-backed off a friends account and pay only $10/mo. Smilie

Of course, free to them is <26GB per month, then speeds drop, apparently.

Maybe I won't be porting my number to ATT for an iPhone 7...what to do?

Anyone else get a similar free offer?

I was waiting to hear AT&T do a similar trade in like TMO & Sprint but alas nothing yet. Was planning to call the retention Dept & do the 'ole threaten to switch because of the trade in & see what happens. It's worked in the past for me Smilie

People who are under ATT plan, have DirecTV, and not under contract (due for upgrade) should be able to get this. Anyone try?

Update: I just called and Im qualified for this. I have an expired contract and fully own my Note4. I also have DirecTV and U-verse. However they will start taking orders 9/16 so I have a 15 day window to do this before it expires. Also, what kinda sucks is that you are stuck with the 7 on 32GB, you cannot upgrade to higher model out-of-pocket at all, so no 7plus or anything like that, kind of the downer on this.

Gawd I hate AT&T now. Was a customer for like 15 years since Cingular days. Finally canceled my service in April during the period they raised unlimited data price by $5. Paid final bill and everything but they refuse to unlock my phone until the two year original contract period is up. Nobody will help me.

And now they have this bill credit garbage and always the fine print that credits don't start for 3 months, so lock you in for almost 3 years to get a free phone. And even worse they are trying to always combine everything with Direct TV now. Stop supporting these guys please they are the worst of the worst!!

Yeah, we've all been getting it...to be honest, your fair share is probably closer to $30/mo

Assuming you keep AT&T, but this requires a new line, right?

Humor me anyone, couldn't I just add a new line (with some random port-in) to my family plan, port out my own line, then port in on top of of the new line i created?
