Price drop noticed today

Hunting a weber I ran across a pile of Stok charcoal grills at target.

Brickseek shows no stock at the store with 3 NIB and 1 display. All were marked $64.98.

Slickdeals search shows they cleared out at $40 in September 2015.

I'm seeing a couple for $38.98, twenty miles away. Should I get it? I don't really need it and will probably end up selling it on CL.

I would buy for $39 but all mine are $65.
The review on target's site about it rusting is a turn off for me.
I have a weber 22inch kettle that I bough at an estate auction that has to be 15 years old with zero rust.
and not because I took care of it. Those weber kettles are durable

Brickseek showed a local store has it for around $35, but it rang up at $90. So YMMV.

I am debating whether to keep it or the weber premium for $74

I bought this grill as a Father's Day gift for my husband several years ago at Target and except for a broken handle in the beginning (Stok immediately replaced at no charge), there have been no other problems or rust issues. Cooks well and looks good. We do have the heavy-duty cover (velcro closure on bottom) which might explain how nice it still looks.

I bought a Stok last Fall for less than $30 at Target. It's a cleverly designed product, extremely well made and versatile as can be. I would buy one and sell your other one.

I looked one over this weekend. The lid felt pretty substantial. The lower part of the body seemed very thin in comparison. If you don't grill all the time and have a climate controlled garage to store it, and you keep the ash out of it before storing, I'm sure it will last a while. But the more you use it, the more it's exposed to elements, or the worse you are at cleaning it, the better the value of a Weber kettle.

The cast iron grate is a neat idea. I'm not sure how well it would stand up over time and need to be replaced. For comparison, I usually end up getting replacement Weber hinged grates every 3-4 years. They usually sell around $20, but you can find them at Target as low as $5. If I find them at this price, I buy them all and hold them. If I might need them next year, I'll buy at $10. Anything more, and I leave them on the shelf and hope a better deal comes around next time.

If you're just grilling for 1-2 every once in a while, and maybe up to 6 on occasion, the 14" weber smokey joe can be found for ~$10 and they come with a 10 year warranty.

Was on my thinking chair this morning closing out windows and happened to refresh the brickseek link to find the Stok had dropped to $40 at some stores (all with 3 or more).

This weekend I managed to pick up a spare handle for $3 and the smooth wok/skillet. I forget that price, and having taken it out of the box, not sure I would have bought it. Rather thin I thought.

The 22" weber grates were under $10 so picked up a few of those as well.

last night I went to a target that showed 2 instock on brickseek for $38, but couldn't find them on the floor.

I bought the grill at $65 and asked for a price adjustment, but was denied since the computer from the customer service showed the grill is $65, but the weird thing is the employee handheld device showed $38.

Scored last one in ABQ for 38.98 and grabbed a weber grate that was priced wrong as well (8.48 vs 9.98).
