Well, you are getting more than enough for what you are paying. This not a high end multimedia Laptop by any means, targeted towards budget conscious customers, college students who need a basic laptop for normal usage, documentation, programming and not for watching FHD movies. and at this price, SSD is really rare.

And why shop bashing these cheap laptop deals just for not having Full HD? It does not have PCIe SSD, GTX 980M Graphics, Touchscreen display, premium aluminium build quality and the list go on. It must be a extremely poor deal!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why? I don't think you got me correctly. I said this is not good for watching High def media but good for programming. And what happens if students look at this display for long time?? Will they have eye problems after doing so?
Does it mean, that all the folks who used a 1366x768 display, probably 3 to 5 years back when FHD display was a luxury and costly, got eye problems. I think you are just not making any senses.
Do you have an answer to my question? Then please state it.

I am not sure why I should answer your question, but here it is anyway:
To paraphrase you, why the hell would I pay for a larger SSD when I do not need its performance?

I would NOT recommend to anyone buying 15.6 with lower than full hd screen resolution. Save your eyes!

well, i agree that it is a good deal for people who want to use it for watching videos ir using word. However, for computer science students, who type programs and stare at display for a long type trying to find a compile error I wouldn't recommend this product

Not everybody. Anyways, I just wrote my point of view, my experience writing code using cheap low resolution laptops. You may agree or disagree, I don't care

Relax, this person is obviously a couple of cans short of a 6-pack.

Nice deal, thumbs up!

Is this laptop targeted at programmers?

FFS, it's a i3 broadwell with a ssd and windows for $300. This should be FP.
