The ultraviolet flashlight can easily spot animals' urine stains, such as cats, dogs and mouse, invisible food stains, scorpions, authenticate banknotes, driver license, official identification cards, passports etc.

We have 3 female cats that barely get along. We suspected they were peeing in or scent-marking certain rooms when we weren't around. I'll never forget the first time we got one of these flashlights, turned the room lights off, and switched on the UV light. There were glowing pee stains EVERYWHERE. The room looked like some kind of Jackson Pollock painting. We're still trying to figure out which cat is capable of spraying urine three feet high on the walls.

Are you sure it was cat urine?
A lot of things glow in UV light, probably including soda, etc.
If you had a light like in the OP, it wouldn't show urine.
Female cats rarely spray.
There are ways to see which cat is spraying.

We've since caught more than one of the cats in the act of urinating on the carpet. Those (confirmed urine) spots glow nicely with our UV LED light. They remain fluorescent long after they've dried and seemingly disappeared.

Then you probably had a different light than the one in the OP, which is 395 nm.

The most important feature to look for is wavelength! UV light wavelengths may vary from 10 to 400 nm (nano meters, or billionth parts of a meter). Most flashlights are marked to indicate what wavelength they emit. You are most likely to see LED lamps with 400 nm, 385 nm, or 365 nm in general stores. DO NOT buy lamps with a wavelength of 395 or 400 nm. They are almost useless in finding cat urine because they are too close to being visible light. For best results, we recommend going with 365 or 385 nm.

Also, spaying on the wall and urinating on the carpet are two different things, and are usually done for different reasons. I would figure out why it's happening. It's not a normal thing you just have to accept. Ever watch My Cat From Hell? Also look around on Jackson Galaxy's page.
