It's a good tool at a decent price that can also be used as rotozip, ratchet, sawzall, jig saw, right angle impact driver, drill, etc. with the right attachments.

The thread crappers are probably talking about the pneumatic version which was clearanced about a year ago or they got just a bare oscillating head without the motor.

I stand corrected, the pneumatic one was $15 with the tool head - but still, this one has been as low as $70 - I've been waiting for the 18v to drop below $80, but it's barely worth it because the $20 corded from HF is really just as good... I've had it for about 6 years now and the "bits" are a lot cheaper

The porter cable oscillating tool was just on sale for $50 (even less with coupon). is this brand name and an extra .5amp worth twice the cost? I'd say no.

This is not just an oscillating tool. It is the JobMax motor which can be paired to many different attachments and the oscillating tool head.

this is true, but I personally don't think it's worth it unless you get a great deal - for example, the jigsaw and reciprocating saw heads are $70 each... you could get an actual tool with better specs for at or near that price instead - just my 2cents
