Staples [staples.com] is still the better deal for AC1200 Router

I have the exact same router C50 and its been performing pretty well for me. Good range in a 3 bedroom apt, no buffering with Netflix and rare dropped connections. Strange this is - when I bought it there were many firmware updates listed. But TP Link then revamped their website and all those firmwares disappeared for some reason. Now I'm stuck without being able to find an update. Plus there are country specific firmware updates so you cant take to to another country if you applied those. Sounds stupid - but that what I remember reading.

I bought this deal too but trustedreviews.com did not like this too much. Keeping it as a backup in case lightning strikes.

the staple link shows netgear brand, not fair comparison. I had bad experience with netgear router, keep dropping from wifi.

When I went to checkout, shipping was added for $9.99 bringing it to $37ish after tax.

Is this a superior router compared to the one in OP? I'm thinking an extra $8 or so might be worth it going through Prime.

I'm guessing they're referring to a AC1200 router in general, since these aren't the same brand. Hence the price difference.

Yep, same. Seems really stupid to get a wireless router that can do 1gbps wirelessly but has ethernet ports at 1/10th that speed.
