Duracell batteries are crap. They are leaking by the billion! Why they still retail this crap is beyond me.

Good price. Just bit more than the Dollar Store brands at $1.00 per 4-pack. bounce

Get the Panasonic Eneloop rechargeable batteries instead.

Save the planet, and some money ... win win.

Rechargeable's have come a very long way in the past few decades. Eneloops are considered by many to be the best, extremely reliable, and DO NOT LEAK, ever. Most Costco's carry them.

I don't know about the 'billion' part... but from my personal experience, Duracell are the worst batteries that I've used when it comes to leakage. I have had better luck with Energizer and generic batteries that come prepackaged with stuff.

Generally the scenario is that I've left the Duracells in a device for a long period of time and possibly haven't used it in months. When I return to it, the batteries are dead and I find they have leaked. I haven't had any devices ruined in this manner. There was a class action [topclassactions.com] lawsuit for something like this but people sue for everything so I don't know if I'd consider that a source.

Ultimately, I agree with bgammillI and avoid Duracell whenever possible. I highly recommend Eneloop batteries when those deals come along. I use them in just about everything aside from TV remotes. Regular batteries do fine in those.

How does the Duracell AA Alkaline Batteries 40 Unit,
Compare to the
Duracell Quantum AA 30 Unit Alkaline Batteries???
Same price but 10 batteries less.
Does the Quantum last a lot longer?? Is there a leaking problem with these?
