I've had a request to change the thread to allow reps so I'm going to do that this week and see how it goes.

I did most of my shopping at CVS today because I was getting $10/$60's on my cards. It's not when you scan your card at the machine. it's on your receipt when you buy something. It should be pretty easy to get to $60 this week so the $10/$60 is a game changer. Maybe CVS was listening to me when I suggested this. I know, no chance but they certainly made me happy today.

I read about them printing last night so I got the Black Forrest gummies for each card - paid with $1 or $1.25 ecb and change. The best one I got was a $10/$50. Got a few $15/$75 & $10/$60 and zip on a few cards. Just wasn't in the mood to figure out deals & cut coupons from today's insert so cut the trip short and will shop tomorrow am.

ShopRite (East Coast grocery store) has a MM deal on cereal this week. I did this deal 3x:
4 MultiGrain Cheerios $1.88 each - use (4) .75/1 (which double to $1.50 each)
1 Cheerios $1.88 each - use (1) .50/1 (which doubles to $1)

pay $2.40 (no tax) and get a $5 catalina

Since CVS changed their rules I've been doing more grocery store deals.

I miss the days when the grocery stores here used to double. Now all they give you is double the hassle... laugh out loud

I'm not in the mood to shop but I'm going to force myself since there are some good deals today.

I've mostly been doing SR deals, too! You can get 4 per trans, etc, so better than the 1x per card at Drug stores. Unfortunately, I don't get the coupon supply I used to, so unless I know of a deal week before to order coupons, I'm limited.

What annoys me is so many of the freebies are dependent on ecoupons. I can juggle a bunch of CVS cards but seem to have a problem doing the same with ShopRite.

It is harder to get the coupon supplies as in the olden days, which aren't that far back. My Smith's, a Kroger affiliate, will run some good deals, that I can take advantage of with the tearpads and the few good insert coupons that I can get. Many years ago, so many stores doubled and shopping was really fun. No doubling around here any more.

That's what bugs me about RA. Everything is dependent on online stuff. It's ok, though. Sept has been a great month for insert q's at RA and RA was beyond awesome today.

On a different topic, every time I turn on Sirius I hear an ad for Ibotta. I don't get it. The manufacturers complain about too much coupon usage and then they pay people $10 to sign up for Ibotta and give them rewards for using coupons.

RA was absolutely mobbed with couponers today. I don't know if it had anything to do with Ibotta, IG, or the full moon but it was crazy. I hope that the manufacturers realize that they created the monster. Instead of putting the blame on couponers, they need to look in the mirror. If their products were good and priced fairly, you wouldn't need a coupon to buy them. That's the bottom line.

Some CVS ideas

24 Wet & Wild B2G1 free = $.99 x 16 + $0 x 8 - $1/2 q x 12 - $3/$15 cosmetics crt = $.84

That's $.84 for 24 W&W's - not a bad filler for a $10/$60!!

2 Colgate Daily Repair 4 oz x $2.99 - $2 q x 2 - $2/2 toothpaste crt = $.02 "o" and get $4 RR - must add something to the sale like gummies because of the "o"

Schick 8ct disp razors (as reported in the CVS thread) are only $5.99!!

(As reported by missusg) Colgate 500 ml mw $5.49 x 2 - $2 q x 2 - $2/2 mw crt = $4.98 and get $4 ecb's - another good filler

3 Gillette Mach 3 razors ($8.79 - $9.29 depending on the store) - $3 q x 3 - $5/$20 crt = $13 approx. and get $10 ecb's - I can confirm this works

Even better, go to RA and get 2 packs of their 5 count Mach 3 blades which are on sale for $9 and get $9 back in points.

That's 3 razors and 10 blades for $3 and it's even better if the razors are part of a $10/$60 deal and if you have a x/xx cat at RA for the blades.

I'm happy to talk about RA deals but I think that they've been covered very well in the RA thread. There are some amazing deals at RA this week. I would highly recommend checking it out.

I know ecoupons are a good deal and do help, but since you can only get discount one time, it doesn't excite me. I don't do them...yet. one of these days.

Meandmydeals just posted the coupon preview for next week and I see a hot deal at Target for Saturday. Meandmydeals is so awesome for always posting the coupon previews!!

4 Tresemme x $3.99 - $5/2 q x 2 - $5/$15 Target q (it was in this Sunday's SS) = $.98 for 4

I don't remember if the T q was for a $5 GC or $5 off. You have to get next Sunday's inserts on Saturday for the $5/2 Tresemme q.

Looks like CVS curbside delivery finally arrived to my area with the $10 off no minimum purchase offer. Will have to figure out a good way to use that (offer is good until 12/31/16)

That's easy. Black Friday. SInce q's aren't allowed with curbside (or so I've been told), what you want are FAECB items and what would be better for FAECB items than Black Friday? Get $10 of items, get $10 off, and get $10 ecb's.

I'm thinking of changing the thread a little bit next week. I'd like to call it something like What Does a Dollar Buy These Days? and focus on really cheap or mm deals. Right now I think that there's too much overlap with the weekly threads. By narrowing it to deals that cost a dollar or less, we should be able to have some fun and save money. What do you think?
