good price, but comments do make it seem pretty dodgy. Maybe if you can order with a prepaid card that's almost empty...
More generic honey from warehouse stores is around $13 for 5 lbs, so $2.60, for comparison. This 1lb raw honey should be better quality though.

WARNING: Good luck cancelling your "Trial Membership."
Sounds like a scam company.

They are legit, but it was a major PITA to cancel the membership. Plus their membership is ridiculously expensive - I think $60/yr. I would buy from them again. Too many hoops to jump through.

they are legit but not worth joining them since I'm barely purchasing their stuffs. I tried the membership to get this honey and then, bargain to get less joining membership free for the half price. email the CS for half cost of membership price

I am not a fan of the Thrive business model (subscription model) or their business practices around cancellations and this confirms my suspicions. They have been signing up hundreds of people up and have apparently have a TINY call center to answer cancellation requests. Why would they hire a ton of people just to be able to cancel people faster? Their BBB agreement mentioned they hired 30 additional support staff recently to handle the cancellation requests. 30 MORE!

"The BBB conducted an investigation on this firm due to the types of complaints and a high number of inquiries received. According to BBB files, our records show that the company has a pattern of complaints concerning consumers having unauthorized charges made to their accounts and or being charged even after cancellation. Consumers also allege having difficulty cancelling before their free trial is up in order to avoid being billed, but their requests go unanswered and are charged regardless. Finally, consumers have alleged having difficulty reaching representatives by phone or by email when issues or inquiries arise. On August 24, 2015 the BBB contacted the company in regards to our concerns about the amount and the pattern of complaints. On September 4, 2015 the BBB received a response from the company explaining they have taken steps to avoid future complaints."

In a nutshell it might be a tempting offer, but the $60 a year membership fee and the super high prices more than make up for the upfront benefit. Plus prepare for drama when trying to cancel the "trial" before your 30 days is up. Not worth it to save 3 bucks in my estimation. They may be better now with the extra staff but they they certainly sucked previously.

I cancelled my subscription via an email, and did not have any problem.
They did offer me a reduced subscription price, and I declined that offer.
I did not have any additional charges on my card.

Received my free item today and submitted my cancellation email. Used a Staples rebate VISA just in case they try to charge me in the future.
