Its not sold out. One need to select color first. Then it shows available. Is this a good deal?

Yikes, almost pulled the trigger on this & then realized it's an AVR 350, not 3500! My God, how old are these things?

Damn, I almost bought it too till I tried looking up more info about it. Things came back from 2008 about this model. Sheesh.
Although my receiver I currently have is from 1999. lol.

Might be a good deal if it actually works. I ordered a brand new AVR 2700 a couple of weeks ago on Newegg when it was on sale for $195 free shipping, thinking it would be a great deal (4K pass through, 7.1 channels, Network play feature, app, etc.) although I was aware of mixed reviews on Harman Kardon receivers. The one I got worked for a couple of minutes, then shut off and kept shutting itself off within 15 seconds after powering on. That was it... Designed in California, manufactured in China without any QC.
Newegg is great and sent me a return label and issued full refund a few hours after they got it back, so all I lost was my trust in Harman Kardon for ever.

Exactly, not to mention it's 8 years old. Albeit, it has a TON of inputs and outputs, its very dated.

I have a circa 2002 JVC receiver. That said, it is THX Ultra 2 certified and will drive the hell out of even the most inefficient speakers.

I bought one of those too. It's in a UPS truck as we speak on its way back to Newegg. Mine stayed on, but had many other issues.

Anyone have a sec to educate me? Haven't looked into home theater gear in a few years. What's missing with HDMI 1.1? If I plan to use the receiver for audio ONLY no video switching, will it still be an issue? I am more intrigued by this receivers cheap price, good connectivity, pre-outs (I have external amps), and good past experience with HK gear. I just need something for 7.1 surround via HDMI or Optical for a budget theater. Thanks!
