This looks like a light for a person I want to jump when jogging(keep others in mind when purchasing this im warning you, LOL) in the morning because having xenon lights on cars and super bright bike lights that have no regard for anyone else shined in my face are driving me crazy.... In the early 00s I had no problems with xenon car lights(they werent widespread then) but now you got car lights and abnoxious kids that want to tease while jogging partying the night before(they never actually stop tho cause they know whats going to happen) and newspaper delivery people(those are the real nutjobs) driving around like maniacs like they own the road at their delivery times with xenons like shadowing you(loose term more like lighting you) and then you get the bikers who all seem to have these ultra bright lights and you tell them could you please not shine that in my face and you get these FU buddy type responses and after years of it you get to where I am. Im not crazy everyone has abnoxious lights and feels like a little king and its going to lead to problems thats why these lights are illegal but it seems the law is letting everyone get away with it and the technology is making them worse.

I'm going to track you down and stalk you with my BT40S [amazon.com] Smilie.

I've almost been hit at least a dozen times this year, and that's just riding in a pretty quiet and low speed neighborhood. I'd rather not need a super bright headlight, but if it keeps me alive and my bike intact, so be it.

Are you one of the jackasses that jog in the streets? Or even in the bike lane?

See your lazy and out of shape thats why you dont know the reach of modern lights(modern lights are so bright you have to look away or block your eyes even 20 feet or more off the side of the road)......... please if you have no experience just shut up, and I only gave enough to explain why these lights are wrong no more no less so quit claiming im ranting cause I told the truth you depressed(watching tv and games and computers all day and no exercise explains your misunderstanding and negative depression attitude(you guys always claim everyone is ranting if they type more than a twitter field and your always rude and extremely opinionated while having no experience and being exactly wrong at the same time there are other terms you deserve but being rude like you is always allowed and putting you in your place isnt(isnt the internet and moderators great)) out of shape people(a person in shape would have jogged at night once in the last 10 years and would understand what I'm saying you obviously dont so you havent).

I only run on grass I dont even run on asphalt or concrete.

Your highness doesnt need car lights or bike lights that illuminate everything edge to edge and when you buy those xenons(which often your non xenon housings are not tuned for xenon housings have cuttoffs so they dont shine up) and it illuminates the road better you need to go stand on the other side of them and think how blinding and annoying are these... instead of only thinking of yourself and how well you can see. To be legal u just need a light on the front of your bike a regular led so people can see you it doesnt need to illuminate your path and at night you should be riding on the road anyway and not the sidewalk and it should be mostly clear and you should be able to see that with streetlights. Go for a jog on a road around 4am(usually lowest traffic level thats when I have to run or its too many cars and lights) and see how bad peoples lights are now and you will understand. You get these bicycle jokers you tell them they have annoying lights and they will give you the response "why do you think I picked it" and then laugh at you. At that point there is only one course of action and I'm going to take it. Its not just those fat old guys riding road bikes either its old grannies too riding cruisers if you have an average old bike light that illuminates your way a little bit it shouldnt be a problem. But this light on this ad looks like a strong one(lithium power pack and 800 lumens....). Those 120 lumen cree t6 xml flashlights you see on this forum are more than enough(really even these are too bright I have a few and more than illuminate enough to see if theres broken tree branches or yard waste in your path or offroad you dont need to see 200 feet ahead with total clarity). Those ebay ones with the same leds that do 2-3000lumens are way too much. If your going offroad I guess you have some argument but you should turn them off if you see others on the trail and these are way too much for anything inside the city or inside town or local parks outside of the city off trail only or if you live in mountain town then maybe mountain trail. These are like 10 of those xml t6 flashlights shined in your face and then when someone tells you its annoying you act like they offended your purchase(cause you wasted your money)................

I have Turbo 800 and personally prefer this one https://www.amazon.com/Bright-Eye...B00GJZ015Y

Turbo 800 mount is scratching handlebars tape and you need separate bag for battery. (it will not scratch if you keeping light's mount always on your bike)

Bright eyes has stretchable mount and includes battery bag.

Both these lights are very bright on high. I usually use them on longer rides on med/low as they lasts for hours in this way.

Dang someone emhas issues. I for one wish more bicycle riders would use headlights and back lights.
Around my area they rarely do and when they do its usually a small blinking 99 cent store one.
Driving at night with a bunch of ghost bikers is a bit dangerous. The other night I almost ran over one but I usually carefully look for cats, dogs, bikes with no lights before I turn.
By the way I Have this light and it has different settings for brightness. It is a XML Cree at least mine is. I don't think this guy quite understands what he is saying.

This seems like the price that should be for the Bike not a light.

There are things called periods. They denote the end of things called sentences. Use them.

Halogen headlights put out around 1,500 lumens. Your complaint shouldn't be about brightness, it should be about cut-off. But since these "headlights" are really conspicuity lights, it's not relevant. As for legality, I'm not aware of any lighting codes that apply to bicycles beyond white up front and red out back.

I'm guessing your problem is primarily related to:

1) Age. I've noticed a significant change in my headlight sensitivity at night over the last couple of years.

2) People using their high beams. Having cycled 2,000 miles along the coast, many times caught out at night, car drivers *only* dip their headlights for oncoming light that's equally 'threatening'.

Hmmmm....I don't see you bashing the cops for their ultra bright LEDS.

Nice light and made in the USA, too. Great deal.
