This is a great deal, especially with the larger capacity jar. Mine is still going strong after 5 years.

Thanks OP!
Finally pulled the trigger on a new blender.I've been looking for a long while.
It was between this or a Vitamix. This unit is more compact and will fit under my cabinet.
Great price! This was a good price last year for a refurbished model.

Yep, i canceled my groupon account. They don't care about existing members only about getting new.

I had been lusting over a Blendtec or Vitamix as an upgrade to our Ninja blender for a while now. We finally picked up a Blendtec Designer 625 on clearance at BB&B a few months ago, and so far really like it. $200+ is a LOT of money for a freaking blender, but I can say that it definitely makes a smoother smoothie than the Ninja. However, I think the fact that it is considerably easier to clean than the Ninja is probably what my wife really likes the most about it.

If I hadn't gotten such a good deal on the 625, I think I would have definitely been tempted by this 570.

This is the Costco exclusive blender, which comes with one less blending speed than the 560 that seems to pop up on Meh every few weeks. It's a few dollars cheaper than the 560, but if you want more control over blend speed, it might be worth waiting for the next 560 deal.

Blendtec is great. The biggest reason I went with a Vitamix instead is the new Vitamixes have a much heavier base, so they are a lot more stable. No matter what or how much I blend, I've never had to hold the Vitamix down to keep it from blowing its lid or knocking itself off the counter. Also, it has the tamper, which Blendtec doesn't. Of course, Vitamix was more than twice the price. For me, it is worth it.

Yeah, I was going to get a Vitamix, as those refurb deals earlier this summer were quite good. I really just decided on the Blendtec because it was still slightly cheaper, and the 625 has a decent feature set. It was a hard decision because it seems like you can't go wrong with either.
