Good deal on a well-reviewed drone. I am looking for one for a present, but I am going to pass on this and get one with a camera (albeit a lousy camera).

Excellent drone. I love it. I bought 2 of them and they both are working great and doing a good job.

In case you were serious, the answer is no. These are way too small. You need a brushless Quadcopter for that purpose and not a wimpy one! Gearbest and bangood sell some good ones. You can get a ready to fly racing drone which will Cary your go pro with no problem for under 200 dollars, but the racing drones are not optimized for aerial pictures. They typically do not have altitude hold for one thing. They are fun though but you most likely would be better off buying a cheap one like this one here just to get the hang of it before moving to something nicer/faster.

I see these deals and plan on trying one but can never pull the trigger. A lot of options. I would like to have a camera but guess the quality is probably crap for the low cost ones.

I can't vouch for that particular model but I got many different cheap Quadcopters like that over the years and yes they tend to all work well and are comparable. The smaller ones tend to not have removable batteries which means you fly 5 min and wait 1hour to fly again. Not that bad, 5 minutes is a nice break and you are not going to want to fly them continuously for very long but good to keep mind. Some are tougher than others but with brushed motors, after around 30 flights the motors will start to get noisy and will soon after fail. You can solder new ones but hardly worth it if it is wear, the price of 4 is typically the price of an an sale one like that. The propellers tend to be fragile and you may quickly need spares, which are not so cheap considering what they are. Some model like the urlhasbeenblocked 8c or 8w have much tougher propellers and the included spares will last you the lifespan of the drone easily. Those are really fun to fly once you get a hang of it. I recommend outdoor on grass with no tall trees around. Concrete can be lethal to the motors if you are unlucky, tall trees are magnets. Then ounce you get a hang of it, get a brushless one and let the fun really begin!
