Upgrading from a R9 280X to a RX 480 will give about a 70% overall boost.

For the processor upgrading will give a mere 3-10% boost if any. If you are conaidering upgrading only upgrade the graphics card. Silicon processors now a days reached the point where only quantum mechanics can surpass them.

RX 480 offers the best value for the price next to the GTX 1060.

Aren't the 6600k and 6700k LGA 1151? These boards are 1150.

edit: I'm a doof. You were talking about the video cards. Disregard.

I would recommend the MSI RX480 from this thread. (https://slickdeals.net/f/9139127-new-jet-customers-msi-radeon-rx-480-gaming-x-8g-graphics-card-230-or-less-after-20-rebate-free-s-h?page=7#commentsBox) I don't see much purpose in the 6600K to 6700K upgrade.
