It can, depending on your setup. I'm using smartthings, harmony activities are then turned into virtual switches in smartthings. The remote itself lacks the function to control lights. I'm using amazon echo for voice control. All of my devices do show up on the harmony app and I can control the lights and switches as well. Only set back I have is controlling the colors of my bulbs (RGBW). I can only turn on and off and dim using the harmony app. Not a big deal for me, since I have found a work around with Alexa helper to do what I want to do using echo. I'm picking up another one of these for my bedroom today.

absolutely love this thing. I got it as a gift and it sat in the box for a while because I just wasn't a fan of harmony remotes in general. I finally decided to open and use it, and now I love the thing. I bought a second one for my bedroom as well. Just makes it sooo much easier to not have to use two different remotes at night (one for directTV, one for the sleep timer).

Also, I've been watching this for a while now to buy one for my mother and this is the best price I've seen recently. I feel like it might have been on sale for like $60 or something -- maybe during a black friday lightning deal? -- but I haven't seen anything lower than $80 in recent memory.

Thumbs up OP!

I love this thing, delivers the promises where earlier Harmony remotes fell short. Smart enough to know when units should be off, fully reliable with a projector, receiver, powered screen and xbone. Works great as an xbone remote, even controls my Honeywell thermostat and Sonos. Remote has a great feel and size as it uses small (probably hard to find) batteries.

I upgraded last year from the legendary 650 in order to control my Bluetooth devices (FireTV, PS4). I won't be going back. The remote has been dropped numerous times and is still kicking.

Are you referring to the led rgb stips? I have them behind my TV and am able to change colors from the remote ( I even programmed the colors to change via the color buttons on the harmony remote)

I found the brand Supernight LED in harmony devices and that allowed me to have full control of the lights via the app and I was able to program whatever features I wanted on the remote (color, dim/bright, on off). Good luck

You can only control the IR devices that the logitech hub is next to. You can control that TV (to a limited extent) with an echo from outside that area because it interfaces through the web. You can only use "activities" right now... IE turn on TV, receiver... you cannot change channels or turn the volume up/down.

Technically, you won't need to use the remote if you use your phone, correct? That would be quite brilliant, actually, not to have any visible remotes, and setting the hub behind the TV.

Just used code AMEX16EVER to save $25 as well. You just have to pay for "a portion" of your $50 or more purchase with Amex points. I paid for $1 of it (147 points) and the code worked. Total was about $59, including tax.
