Looks like all of these SSD's are slightly lower than normal price, which could seal the deal for some people on the fence. Nothing mindblowing though

Thank you

There was better deals last BF/CM, but my time machine is out of gas.

There will be slightly better deals next BF/CM, and Even better deals the year after that.

SO If you don't need or want a SSD right now, please get your head examined, because you are wasting your time reading a thread for a product you don't need or want right now.

That said my 1tb HHD in my fastest laptop is not doing well. So I am not going to use it until I can clone it, either that or re-install everything.

I have been wanting a SSD since I go it but kept expecting Prices to drop because of all the future tech down the pipeline like Optane.

I do wish these prices were a bit cheaper, but I need to pull the trigger. Would love an EVO but the 1tb Mushkin has a slightly higher rating on amazon and cost $100 less. Also the Mushkin reps seem to be all over any bad review on New Egg so at least I think they are offering decent support and care.

Fakespot gave the Muskin SSD an A rating, Still waiting on the EVO rating.

Since I have never owned a Mushkin device, would love to hear from SDers that know the company and or product.

Again I know its not a great price, I am not an expert on any of these products. At work we only use Intel Drives.

Thanks.

These prices are pretty bad. I've gotten better deals just scrounging around. I would do a little more research and save anywhere from 20-30 on 1 TB drives.

I'm considering the MX300 1tb for a boot drive. Was going to get the 750 Gig version, trying to decide if $54 is worth an extra 250 gigs. Not to sure.

Not that great of a price drop, especially on the 950's. If buying one I would wait a few weeks especially being that the new ones are about to be released along with the Evo editions which are even faster while being the same price minus 2 years on the warranty.

The lower prices you've gotten them at were likely earlier in the year. Flash Memory, Laptop and Desktop Memory, and SSD prices have gone up across the board in the last 2 months or so. There are a few companies offering aggressive prices (like ADATA, G.Skill, and Silicon Power for Flash Memory, Avexir and Team for Computer Memory, and OCZ and Silicon Power for SSDs)... but for the most part, prices are all higher than they were in June/July by far. That's kind of on the manufacturers though, not Newegg.

Billions dollars worth of Samsung and HP products stranded or meandering in the high seas due to Hanjin Shipping bankruptcy..Major disruption of supply chain. Huge container ships have already been seized others are staying in international waters. No money to pay port terminals fees.and unloading.

Would the hard drive inside the WD elements fit in the ps4 if I took apart the enclosure or is this a 3.5 inch HDD?

It's a 2.5" drive inside, but I believe it's USB soldered.

No, The usb interface is soldered on to the drive - there is no sata connection.

I recommend that you never buy an "Elements" drive. They cost nearly the same as the passport Ultra drives but have a crappy 1 year warranty vs the Ultra's 3 years, and the Ultra only costs $10 more (or even less in some cases).

1 TB Mushkin Enhanced Reactor 2.5" was $205

1 TB Samsung 850 EVO 2.5" was $271

256 GB Samsung 950 PRO was $120

512 GB Samsung 950 PRO was $270
