Thread Details

I've given my opinion in many places about the beer's i've tasted. Might as well have a thread about it. Feel free to add.

Currently having a Shiner Blonde.

A bit too light for my tastes, but a good Spring/Summer lager. Light, crisp, not too hoppy. Kind of like a hefeweisen without all the yeast. I tasted a little lemon at the first taste. Prett good. On a scale of 1 to 10, i'd give it a 7.

Went to Stone Bistro tonight (first of a few trips this week methinks) and had Blind Pig (tasty tasty, I blew the keg), 6/6/6 Vertical Epic (don't remember it being that good, though Greg Koch wouldn't pull one from the warehouse for me last time I was @ Stone Big Grin), Green Flash Le Freak (still not sold on Belgian IPA's), Ruination (given, delicious), and 13th Anniversary (quite good) on tap.

Looking forward to what they have next trip!

Tried my Furthermores this weekend. Both were unique brews unlike anything I've ever had before.

The Knotstock was an ale with brewed black pepper. You could def taste the pepper but it wasn't a spicy taste. I'd say it got the flavor it was going for but I don't see why anyone would have more than one (the first to say you've tried it).

The Oscura was a beer with coffee. Tasted freshly brewed. Most coffee tasting beer I've ever had. I gave it as a gift to my friend because he loves the taste of coffee and I don't but I made sure to have sip to see if it lived up to the hype. It certainly did IMO.

Mmmm. Surly Furious and Bender. Awesome stuff. No Cynic Ale? I'm sure you'll love Furious. I hope I find a bar that serves it while I'm in Chicago next week.

While I was un-bubblewrapping the Cynic Ale, I punctured it with the knife I was using. So I had to drink that one myself Smilie

Methinks it was not an accidental puncture, which gave you an excuse to drink it. Wink

I am very sad that there is no distribution of Weyerbacher in TX. Can anyone recommend a pumpkin ale that is available in TX. Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin was always a favorite of mine Sadwalk
