Some great rods on sale over at FFO. I picked up a Fenwick Aetos 7' Spinning MF 1 piece for $71 after shipping, that is normally a $180 rod. All prices are before discount.

Abu Garcia Veracity Spinning Rod $79 [ffo-tackle.com] NLA
PENN Regiment Inshore Spinning $80 [ffo-tackle.com]
Fenwick Elite Tech Smallmouth $75 [ffo-tackle.com] NLA
Abu Garcia Vengeance Spinning $25 [ffo-tackle.com]
Plus MORE [ffo-tackle.com]

They also have a selection of reels at a pretty good price as well.

The Revo SX is a great buy at that price. You can find it at a similar price from time to time, but it's a good deal.

Haven't found any free-shipping coupons, but I doubt they would stack with the 20% discount if we did find them.

One thing I forgot to mention in the orginal post is the deals they have on fishing line. Some types of SpiderWire are up to 62% off and they've got the SpiderWire Ultracast XXX for $2/350 yard on 4lb test. [ffo-tackle.com]

Awesome thank you. I can confirm the retail prices they are quoting, even for the reconditioned rods, are legitimate. Good deals esp on the Berkeley and Garcia stuff.

These seem to mostly be for sea fishing. Anybody have any recommendations for lakes? Catching bass. I used to fly fish trout, but I moved to a hell hole without trout streams. I'm considering the switch over to lake fishing.

The Fenwick Elite Smallmouth is supposedly a killer rod for bass fishing, as is the Fenwick Aetos. Not sure about the others.

I go out deep sea fishing with my father several times a year. All his gear is 30+ years old and it is time to upgrade. I don't need the most professional equipment but am willing to spend a little more if the quality is worth it. What rod and reel would you recommend for all purpose fishing for sea bass, mackerel, ling, porgy, fluke, bluefish and blackfish?

I don't know anything about that myself, but from looking around at prices, you certainly want to get something on this deal.

This is probably the rod I would get for sea fishing. Great reviews and value.

You may just have to look around and check reviews. Nobody is snapping these deals up just yet.
