.95/can or .063/oz vs. .062/oz everyday price at Jet.com
I bought the kirklands at Jet.com and I liked them very much.

Great deal. Thanks for posting it. Too bad they do not have the San Marzano. Those are the best. Also giving a try to the fire roasted which unfortunately are not as good deal as this one.

Yea, it's one of those deals that you need prime to make the amazon one work, or find $35 worth of stuff at Jet to get free shipping. I find many things like this at Jet much cheaper than amazon's regular prices, so I just wait to order until I have enough to get the free shipping.

Even though I frequently use amazons S&S, it's hardly a good deal except on the initial order. After that, they adjust their price to whatever they like, so you must remember to cancel.

Happy Friday!

Don't cans have a chemical lining that leaks into tomatoes due to acidity? Wasn't that why everyone stopped buying canned tomatoes?? Why would you put organic tomatoes in a can that will leach chemicals into it?

You seem to be comparing Kirkland brand with Muir Glen. There is a difference. I buy some Kirkland brand items and love them but it is like comparing Philly Cream Cheese to Great Value or Carhartt clothing to Walmart's Rustler.

Jet is currently out of stock of this product but according to Google, it is $2.24 at Jet in stock for this size. Target sells for $1.47. My local market sells it for $1.69 on sale.

So for the brand Muir Glen this is much better than "hardly a good deal".

This also was previous frontpage deal at $14.60 and $12.50.

If you can't remember to cancel your S&S after it ships you do not belong on this site.Smilie

I've had both. I feel the Kirkland is just as good on this product. As far as hardly a good deal, I was referring to Amazon s&s. Please don't put words in my mouth.

Darn, I thought those were the diced tomatoes, not the sauce.

I get a lot of things from S&S, but I always start with new subscriptions every month. Still, I should really make an effort to do some cross-checking with Jet. It's just that I am not very familiar with jet so I don't feel confident when looking for good prices.

Great question. I came here to see what kind of container they use. I'll pass on the leached BPA.

They do, indeed. Canned vegetables and sauce(organic or otherwise) have been linked to cancer because they are lined with BPA-filled plastic. I'll probably get called a hippie for posting this, but it's worth Googling to see I'm not making this up.

Home canning from garden vegetables FTW! haha. Seriously, though, glass is best, but do they make glass jars of just tomato sauce? Spaghetti sauce, sure, but just tomato?
