The product looks fine and I'm curious about it but my god..that is the most annoying and meaningless product description they provided.

"Wire free and wireless!" repeated over and over with no explanation. Shoving that down your throat. So it's powered by batteries (per the specs page). They make it seem like it's powered by wishes and fairy dust in the description. Very courageous.

Thanks OP.

Looking for a deal on a single add-on Arlo camera without buying a whole kit like this--- don't need another hub, suspect it would be hard to flip it on fleabay if I scavenge the camera. Saw Frys had one in last weekend's ad for $99 but it was not available online by the time I checked in. Frankly even at $99 I'm not thrilled. Certainly a deal will pop up eventually...

Not an add-on camera. comes with "hub" as a set. cr123's are getting better

This could be written by some Chinese to English translator from Chinese document in China. I am assuming the product is made in China. I do Chinese to English (vice versa) whenever they pay my rate which is not unreasonable. But I can't compete with what they changed in China. These repetitious writing is common in Chinese documents I've seen. For example, the wire of the heating wire; molten liquid metal.

I've liked my Arlo so far except it's got a pink hue during daylight hours. It's a known issue that is pretty prevalent. Motion sensing is OK - just make sure that motion has enough time to turn on. I've had to reposition mine a few times to get it to work right.

Netgear just replaced one of my Arlo Cams for the pink / red issue that was still under warranty.

That's a pretty slick deal considering one add on camera buy itself cost 125.00. Other than get one dodgy camera out of my 3 pack Arlo kit I'm loving the system. Netgear is replacing the one bad one. My guess though if you need to go over 5 cameras you probably would be better served economically with another system.

Yep. I've got 4 cameras currently. Admittedly I turn them on somewhat sparingly--- a few times a week, not every night--- and perhaps not surprisingly all but one are still on their original battery two months after switching them on. The one camera I have mounted outdoors signaled a low battery warning just last week, so I did have to replace that one.
