hey it's only 1 day but no cc required to sign up....I've been on the fence about sling tv since it launched and I never gave infor a trial, now with no strings attached I can see the quality of the service.

More bundled crap! CNN, ESPN? No thank you!

If you watch ESPN, I think the basic package is worth checking out. I pay $20/month. Can't complain.

FYI, I was running Sling off of a Roku stick and the experience was horrible. Recently switched to a Roku 2 connected by ethernet cable and it runs 100x better. They say you can run it off a Roku stick, but I don't recommend it.

I signed up fully expecting to keep it for the three months up front, then get the free roku. After 2 days I canceled. I forgot how much I hated commercials. Not kidding.

Netflix has spoiled the bajesus out of me.

Soccer (English Premier League) is telecast on beIN Sports, and beIN(n) Sports channels. I just watch these two channels . for this I have the $10/month Sports package. They do not have anything lesser than $10.

The Netflix experience is indeed good, if you only like things that are months are years old. If you watch sports you need live TV. I used Sling for the NBA playoffs last season and was mostly happy, then cancelled as soon as the finals ended. I think I might go with the other non-ESPN package (stupid bundling) this season because it has my regional FOX Sports network, then switch to the other package when the playoffs start. Never used it for much else except an occasional show on History or random channel surfing, which was rare.

If Sling wanted every viewer possible they'd find a way to offer more choice of what you get. I don't even mean more channels, but less fluff you don't want to pay for.
