Previous Deal went FP at $70 back in June. I may have to jump on this before it sells out/expires.

Not bad. Cheaper than Amazon's last offer. Now get this or the 2-channel front and rear cam?

The suction cup failed on mine numerous times this summer. The mount also doesn't hold the camera's position well (you want the camera pointing slightly downwards, the car's momentum will have the camera pointing upwards everytime you come to a stop). Being able to read license plates while the car is moving is hit or miss even when viewing frame by frame on your computer.

Otherwise, it's good quality for its price. In an accident that doesn't involve a hit and run, it'll serve its purpose well.

i have had 5 dashcams so far. one clamped to the mirror. bad idea. vibrated all over the place, and rear view is non existant. 3 suction cupped to the glass. fall down, block view, vibrate. now i have one that is stuck to the glass with 2 sided tape, and sits up high, out of view. it also is more flat than the rest. also, if you drive the car daily, you can get a hardwire with battery minder, so you can get a capacitor dashcam, and it will be on 24/7. the battery minder will shut off if the voltage goes below a certain level. costs like 10 bucks. from past experiences, a rear camera will catch the hit and runs, especially in the parking lots

Thank you very much for this helpful information! Could you recommend a specific model camera with a capacitor and maybe a model / brand for the battery minder?

i have the a118/b40 style from rexing, called the v1. it has a battery, but supposedly it is improved, and will take the heat. i happen to like rexing because their customer service is outstanding. the v1 is the wedge shaped, and fits up high, out of the way. also, we dont drive that much, so if i used the battery minder hardwire, and the camera is on all the time, we would have a lot of footage of the inside of a garage door. you can get a hardwire with battery minder from ebay, or several us dashcam companies offer it, but you will pay a lot more. ebay ones come from china, and i suspect the us ones do, too

I bought this for the same price on Amazon like 2 or 3 weeks ago and for the price it's great... sorta.

The camera truly is tiny and it exudes pretty good build quality with a good clear screen that is above the average for this class. My issue is that I sadly have to agree with what other reviewers say about the bad mount - it sucks.

When I first opened and installed the N1 the mount felt sturdy enough for the how diminutive the camera is, but shortly after the ball joint of the mount came loose. Now the camera hangs at an off-angle from how I set it after just a few turns driving.

I'll figure out a solution to stabilize (small piece of tape, glue or Sugru), but it's a huge dampener on an other wise great dash cam value.
