So you are suggesting based on your one experience people should not buy this printer? I find that a bit ridiculous. I have 3 brother wifi printers and they have worked flawlessly.

I have a problem with tech challenged people dissing a product line when the problem is most likely user error.

I had this model, had to call customer service almost everyday, as the printer will not connect to wi-fi. Returned it in a week. Got a different brand printer, had no issues with that.

so u think Brother customer support person do not know anything either, as every time they fixed it over the phone, same issue came back every other day. And do you think people who are not tech genius should nt speak abt technology?

Suffice to say there was some incompatibility going on between the Brother printer and your WiFi router. So it's either tinkering with the settings of the WiFi router, replacing the WiFi router, or replacing the Brother printer. And since the Brother printer is the newest entrant and within the return period, it makes sense to do that and go with another brand like you did.

Sweet. I had a deal alert on the 480DW, but it appears that it is identical [brother-usa.com] to the 460DW [brother-usa.com]. Must be a retail naming scheme difference. In for the extra ink too.

Thanks, OP!

Is this good printer for light home use? Mostly kiddo prints few pages per week.

Would be great for that. Ink is also incredibly cheap. Search "LC203" on Amazon.
