Hey guys,

I didn't see this posted, so I thought I'd share.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Actually a decent deal. I wouldn't go with anything lower then this SB6183 for a Modem. As Companies don't wanna activate older modems that people buy because it's cheap. Well Cheap in that case means a modem that been out for more than a few years now.

seeing a 16ch modem so low priced means that d3.1 modems will be ready for sale by Dec at retail and they must draw down stock.

I got this during the last deal and it is a nice modem. just a warning though, if you have xfinity triple play, they may give you a hard time to activate this as it doesn't have phone Jacks. they gave me some line that they were sued because someone had their triple play service and had a modem that didn't support the phone and then they needed to make a call and weren't able to while they were paying comcast for the service.

having said that, I was able to get them to activate the modem but they warned me that comcast may send out another one of theirs. that hasn't happened yet.

That's completely false, a lot of people choose triple play bundles because it gives them the best value or long term price stability. I couldn't find a double play with all the premiums and red zone so it would've been more expensive if I chose a double play with all the premiums and dvr added on a la carte so the representative suggested the premier triple play. Plus I get the discount for 2yrs instead of 1. The guy that sued is an idiot if he needed the phone service but bought a modem without that capability. Lol

They added an Arris SB 6183 to my account without any issues via the local Comcast joint and I activated it through the web portal they gave me. Works awesome with the T-Mobile ASUS AC68U! Yeeeee

Sorry, I had a $5 personal coupon off most purchases - will show at initial screen below BIN box as 'pay XXX' if you have one.

Ebay bucks still earned as well.
