I must be confused.

$79.99 - 15% ($12) - $10 rebate = $57.99

Am I missing something, how did it get to $47.99?

From everywhere I've read, even the people who treat their non-stick the best, will have to replace it roughly every 2 years.

That said, with so many T-Fal lines, does anyone know where this stands compared to the "Professional" series recommended by Consumer Reports?

Thanks.

I view any nonstick pans as disposable. They'll last a couple years, and when the non-stick starts flaking off you ditch them and just replace them.

I personally switched over to cast iron for anything I'd normally use non-stick for, but cheap nonstick is great for the wife to use so she doesn't f@!k up my seasoning...

I agree. I have a 12" and it only last about 12 months.

I replace teflon non-stick every year. But why use cast iron for making something like eggs? I mean, you can get a fairly good nonstick surface with oil/butter yes, but real non-stick is just so much easier.

I just use my cast iron for pizzas, frittatas, and other dishes where I have to switch between oven and stovetop.
