OP, would you mind correcting the spelling of Washington in the thread title? AmEx Offers get reposted quite a bit, and the right spelling will help with searches.

I thought this might be a decent offer but you'll still end up spending 50 bucks for a year of the digital national edition after the 50 bucks off. I guess if you were already planning on signing up for the Washington Post for some reason then this is for you.

everything about Amex has gone down hill in the last few years... their customer service is atrocious these days.
sometimes it looks like they are trying to get out of credit card business...

The Washington Compost isn't even worth this "free" offer.

The $20 off $50 boxed.com one has been pretty good, especially since you can stack coupons on top... and the $5 off 3x at BP from a month or two ago... but yeah this year has been sparse compared to previous

Agreed. Their customer service is horrible, I've cancelled all of my insurances with them, they've screwed up some of my credit card accounts, their stock is doing horrible, on and on.

They used to be great, but even though I've been a customer with them for almost two decades, when I move in to my new home I am going to cease almost all business with them.
