Good price, however the 1 star reviews on Amazon are all similar. I understand pillows are not a one style suits all but I'll be passing.

the 3 layer one is well worth the price if you are a side sleeper. nice firmness, doesn't go flat, great support, big. best pillow ive ever had.

I already ran into The Big One post where someone mentioned a side sleeper variant so I ordered it. Hoping for a softer more cushioning experience then the Mlily Serenity I tried out at a Home and Garden show that was great. The one I received from Amazon is like sleeping on a F#$@# cinder block with a pillow case.

Just how firm is the 3 layer? I want support but I also want my head to sink into the pillow some and not make me feel like I'm laying on a damn board in my bed.

Which one did you order from Amazon? I am looking for a VERY firm pillow.

hmm well i have 3 side sleepers now. let me link to them, maybe one was something you tried and youll be able to compare.

This one was the first one i bought
http://www.sears.com/sleep-innova...673185000P

its less firm than the one from kohls, which is the 2nd one i bought. its slightly less thick as well, but it's very comfortable.

third one i bought is this one

http://www.samsclub.com/sams/core...roduct:1:1

its identical to the first one from sears other than one being sleep innovations and one being serta. If you have a sams membership id buy the one from sams.

Overall for any of the 3 i bought i would happily pay $50-80 for the amount of comfort it's given me. and i used to use cheap pillows. All 3 gave support to the head while still allowing some squish.

I do sleep with 2 pillows though, one is a thin pillow that goes on the bottom, with the side sleeper on top.

If you have any of the ones i linked to and found that too hard i would not recommend the 3 layer.

I do have another one that was not a side sleeper and it was a shredded memory foam and it's the worst pillow ever. it was on amazon, its like a cinder block and it forms into shitty shapes that i can't sleep on.

Thanks. Saw that in your post, but since you'd tried it at the Home & Garden Show, wasn't certain that's what you got from Amazon. Unfortunately, what I think a pillow feels like in the store is often very different than what I think after spending an entire night on it.

Oh no they are completely different. The one at the show my head fell into. The one I got from Amazon like I said was like a freaking cinder block. Bait and switch if you ask me. The one at the show must have been driven over 1k times or something with a semi and trailer to soften it up. Because I've rolled it, walked on it, jumped on it. Nothing has changed the firmness in it. Even pressing down on it with my hand it just isn't the same pillow let alone my head laying on it.

I just picked up 2 of the three layer pillows. I can not speak to the other 2 descriptions in your post but these certainly are not big. They're smaller than any of the other pillows I have on my bed.

I just got mine. I tried it on my bed. With a quick try I would say these are soft-medium firmness. I will try them tonight and see how they are for sleep.

Just got the 3 layer. If you need very firm I would not order them. after just coming in with them and laying my head on them for a moment to test the first thing that came to my mind was they are a medium soft. They are not like other memory foam pillows I have that seem firm then slowly give a little to sink into. My head just sinks in pretty quick to about halfway in on the 3 layer.

Side sleepers might like this one better. https://www.amazon.com/Sleep-Innovations-Contour-Memory-Standard/dp/B0029LHHRC/ref=pd_lpo_201_lp_t_3... [amazon.com]. I have it and it a bit on the firm side but not too much. Great for side sleeping. Sorry OP I don't mean to TK here. The pillow you posted is a ggrr8t deal. I bought 2 and gave you props. Just that there is no one pillow suits all and someone asked about side sleeping.

I ordered the one from Sam's Club. With tax and shipping it's $27.45.
