Isn't rakuten the site where you get unauthorized charges on your crefit card thst you used in their checkout??? I seem to recall many SD'ers griping about that in the past. The solution was to use paypal at checkout. I do not mean to threadcrap but encouraging use of Visa on checkout seems risky. Buyer beware.

My understanding is that "Visa Checkout" is like Visa's version of Paypal.

I don't think it gives the site your credit card when you checkout with Visa Checkout, but I could be wrong.

Unfortunately, unlike Paypal, Visa Checkout does share your credit card number with merchants.
