I have a smart watch, and when I 1st got it thought it was the coolest thing in the world. Now it's more of a hassle. Charging it every night, updates, making sure it's synced....I just went back to a regular watch.

Me too unfortunately. It also keeps your phone awake all the time. A nice mechanical watch is better.

I agree to an extent but its not that bad. I just slap it on my dock and that's it. I have the gear s2 and its been great since I got it. I get notificaitons and can even answer phone calls and talk on my watch. Cant see my self going back to a normal watch any time soon...

This is why I have a pebble. It's in between a full blown smart watch and a regular watch. Battery lasts 7 days and I get my notifications which is all I need it for.

yeah it's a huge hassle. solved it by getting a cheap $16 charging station from amazon and it's already paid itself off.

The charging adapter for this just sucks. You have to turn the watch over and it slips off easily. That the battery barely lasts a day and recently it just won't connect. I've flashed it a few times but it just stops working again. Also what really irritates me you can't control which apps go on there and notifications are not always accurate. Also half the time Google voice doesn't work back to the not connecting to my phone. Save your money.

I love my pebble. Notifications for work and text messages are nice, but the selling point for me is the customized watch faces. I am holding out for the Pebble Time Steel to drop a bit, as well as the reviews for the Pebble Time 2 with heart rate monitor.

same reason I have a Garmin forerunner: basic notifications, 2 weeks of battery minimum and has gps for my runs

tried gear s2 and returned it. got the pebble time and now I can't live without it. it's actually increased the battery life on phone because I didn't have to look at it for every notification. also the health tracking helped me stay motivated. I still have mechanical watches that I wear to formal events. but before the pebble I never wore a watch while I was at home or sleeping.
