Home Depot has the 20 in. 40-Volt Brushless Lithium-Ion Cordless Electric Lawn Mower with 5.0 Ah Battery for $299 - Free Shipping or Pickup

It is advertised as $399 on some areas of Home Depot's website but if you click on any of them, the price is $299.

Seems like a price error as the mower without the battery and charger is sold for $279.

Got one myself and it arrived on Monday.

Possibly, but electric mowers have their advantages (and disadvantages) just as gas mowers do.

If you have a smaller yard, they're nice. No fighting with the carburetor adjustments and their tamper proof screws thanks to the tree huggers.

The price has been like that at least for a few months now. I have a same mower but with 48 volt battery bought for $399 3 yrs back. This mower with 40 Volt battery was $299. Was looking for a new mower since few months now and hence know the price was never $399 for this one. shake head

Hope that helps someone decide in case they are looking to replace.

This one is a Brushless Motor. Very different from your mower and a newer technology in Lawn Mowers.

Here is a picture of the $399 ad.

I did my research before posting. You can't find a brushless 20" with a 5aH 40v battery of this quality for this price.

This is an awesome mower I have a large front yard and never use beyond two light in battery power. super compact to store and easy to use. I use this with the bag and without and have been very very pleased!! No gas smell in the garage, no messing with dirty spark plugs, NO YANKING your arm out of the socket to start. I can stop and start easily to pick up sticks, no problem! There is a self propelled one in the near future, but this is easy enough to push and I have a small hill. GREAT DEAL

I clicked the link and it originally appeared as $299 then I added to to my cart and went to check out and it said $399 and now I can't seem to get the $299 price back. Any ideas? Does anyone have a screen shot of the $299 price? Or can you send a screen shot of your receipt? I am trying to get them to honor the price over chat but they claim the price has NEVER been $299.

Here are the screenshots from earlier today and from my original order. I have purchased two of them.

If they say it was never that price then it confirms the pricing error theory.

Good Luck.

My own opinion is these electric battery mowers are not justified by their price. I looked at this and many others and they just look and feel cheap compared to a gas self propelled mower. This time of year you should easily be able to find a self propelled mower for $299. I ended up buying a Snapper 60v brushless motor from Walmart for $99 and to be honest wouldn't pay more than $150 tops. With that said mine works great and noise reduction is unreal but all the battery mowers I saw looked and felt cheap, the Ego included.
