Do you get the companion certificate after approval of the application, or when you renew your account every year?

Would one still receive the bonus miles if s/he previously applied for the same card? Also, is there a way to find out if one had applied for the same card in the past?

Amex rules are if one ever had used an offer, not to receive it a second time. It used to be wording "24-months", but I see now Amex worded "prior" without mentioning time frame, and several of my friends recently got denied points based on that.

Is this a full-fledged Amex Platinum? As in, do you also get Centurion Lounge access, etc.?

Annual fee for this card is normally $450, isn't it!? That alone makes this really slick.

EDIT: Answered my own question and folks answered below ... Nope. And nope.

I need to call and find out if I'd be eligible for one of the four bonuses. I know I've had some variants of these cards, but not sure which ones. I do believe you should be able to double up with the business and personal cards.

Otherwise, it may be time to get wifey's credit working.

This is Delta Platinum, not the regular AMEX Platinum rewards.

So, I currently have the Gold Delta Skymiles card. Should I log into my AMEX account and upgrade or use this link to apply. I'm just wondering if I upgrade my card through AMEX, if I'll get these same rewards or if I use this link will AMEX upgrade me to the Platinum card. I don't want to carry both cards.

Apply for the platinum or you will not get the bonus just for upgrade.
