Thread Details

Universal Mania has it for the lowest price I've been able to find. Came across it with Googles opening search. I have never heard of the company so I started to do some research and found that they are best known in online fishing forums as they sell trolling motors on the cheap. They are legit, do your research if you need to.

They had like 120 in stock just 3 days ago and after my purchase are now down to 98 so I believe the word is out on this deal.

No tax for me in AZ and free shipping. From my research, this is THE RANGEFINDER to get for under $800.

To bullseye womp rats in my T-16 back home. They're not much bigger than two meters.

Range finder for obtaining distance measurement for any given purpose but mostly for use with ballistic drop for shooting projectiles.

Can also be used for distance measuring on the golf course, so long as they are not barred from use.

This particular model is highly acclaimed as being quite accurate out to the advertised distance. Most you take what they claim and cut the distance in half.

$408 from Jet if you qualify for the coupon. For now this still beats their price.

This isn't the type of item that makes you wanna just bust out the 'ole credit card unless you're already in the market, but this is a pretty decent deal. This is one of those items that if you spend a little bit more than, say, a Bushnell scout then you'll get a much more robust product.

I've always wanted a rangefinder but didn't want to spend the high dollars on the Leica and didn't want to spend $150 on the multitude of products available in that price range as I know you get what you pay for. The average price of the KILO2000 is about $450 so when I stumbled upon this deal I knew I'd get a great product for a slightly higher price than I would have to spend on the Bushnell I've been waiting for a price break on.

I haven't done any long range shooting with my .308 AR-10T even though I had good glass because it's useless without knowing your range. Now that I'm getting into PCP airguns I realize I'm still guessing my distances and tired of it. Just like I was tired of guessing my trigger pull and telling myself, "that feels like one pound" and not knowing for sure so I got a Lyman trigger pull gauge that went down in price to $38. That deal has come and gone but I got in. This is sort of the same predicament with guessing yardage.

When this thing shows up I'll finally be done with all the guesswork.

Says good out to 1200-1500 yards for deer or trees, 3400 yards reflective targets.

Any recommendation for a cheap model that's still good/durable out to say 100-200ish yards for paper or steel targets?

There's a lot of options in the cheaper zone, but with both prices and reviews that are kinda all over the place.

Agreed, reviews are indeed all over the place. I haven't gotten overly serious about rangefinders as I figured unless you spend a minimum of $600, it'll all be crap. Only you can decide what you want for yourself. I was looking at Bushnell for quite awhile and then reviews ragging on them and recommending Nikon.

I'm sure they'll all suffice for the range you're looking for. Do you want angle compensation? Never know whey you'll use it for more than just target shooting. Bottom line is I cannot recommend much but I have been looking into this Kilo2000 once I opened up to spending more money on a quality product but felt it was still out of my price range until I saw this price. Good enough for me or I'll be procrastinating another 10 years and never be able to judge distance with any accuracy.

Bite the bullet and don't bite on buyer's remorse.

Got mine today. Double bubble envelope wrapped USPS. All is well. Brand spankin' new, no refurb or returned items. Factory sealed sticker. Called Sig Optics and they told me one needn't purchase from an authorized dealer and that the item is covered by warranty, regardless.

Just raised by $10 but still cheaper than anywhere else you'll find. If you do find better then by all means, post it here. That's what Slickdeals is all about.
