I pull my mother in law all over in this thing and my back is killing me at the end of the day.
Whenever 'work' is done energy is transferred from one place to another. The amount of work done is expressed in the equation: work done = force x distance.
I bought one of these carts to do my landscaping this past spring/summer. The cart held up remarkably well through moving about 40 tons of rock/dirt/sod. It is on its last legs and needs to be retired now...but it did its job admirably. The dumping feature was immensely helpful, as it allowed me to accurately and easily dump loads versus having to tip the cart over. This cart is way more useful than a wheelbarrow.

I would not recommend loading 600lbs in this cart, as the frame starts to sag around 400lbs. The air filled tires are only 10", so moving more than ~400lbs on anything but flat smooth ground isn't an easy task anyways.

TLDR: Totally worth $50.

I have the 1200 pound version and haven't loaded it down, but I will assume that the heavier it is the harder it will be to pull - disproportionately. In other words, I don't think it'll be a pleasant experience but will be manageable.

I've pulled 5 80lb bags of concrete in this around the house at a time. not pleasant but it certainly made it easier than carrying by hand.
