Goal Zero's product quality and support are both top notch; I have several of their smaller products. But having said that, even at 25% off this thing is still hella expensive for what you get. If you have even a shred of DIY spirit in you, you can cobble something similar together with a marine battery and 12v inverter for a fraction of the cost.

yeah and if i was making my own i would use multiple batteries and a stronger inverter
