Interesting when someone with this much experience posts a "slickdeal" while admitting that it's not.

Look, lots of people actually want the latest models and may not worry about the amount spending to get one. This is the first release of this well anticipated Laptop and that's why I have posted so that people can know that this model is available.
And although, it is not very cheap, the prices are not bad either, it has similar configuration like a Surface pro 4 highest end model but costs hundreds of dollar less, comes with the keyboard dock.

Hey, this thing is MAXED out for the price. In my mind, this is most definitely a slick deal and I am glad to see it posted here. If others don't agree, they have a voice. Thank you much!

Did anyone find this being sold anywhere else for whatever price?

Be careful. Super bad reviews. Horrible fan. KB issues. WiFi super slow. Screen flickering. Lots of lag. I wanted this so badly.
This seems to be a total crappie.

Costco is the only place I've seen it listed, but the highest end model is supposed to go for $1999 (not sure if this is the highest end) and this configuration is listed in Europe for EUR 1600 according to the review linked above.

Those who actually bought from costco.
Here's some insight on this device. The included SSD on the costco version is a generic one. It's not even a branded ssd. The one that is inside the device is using SATA3 technology vs the ones sold elsewhere. Asus website shows that they should have a higher end version using MVNe pcie ssd, but we're not getting that in the costco version. So the $200 discount is basically because they gave you a shitty ssd that's 3x slower in read and write speeds. You pick your poison.

I ordered one too. Maybe ill open the box play with it for a while, then send it back.
