too bad there isn't a Fry's near me. My Onkyo TX-SR607 stopped working last month after 7 years and I decided to go with the trade in program from Onkyo. By sending in my broken 607 they would send me their refurbished 646 model for $322. This Denon I'm pretty sure is a better deal

yes, since it is new and comes with a 3 year warranty, I'm pretty confident the Denon is a better deal. Refurb 646 isn't that great of a deal especially when you could have gotten it new for under $300 previously. But it's better than having a broken 607.

Absolutely. No doubt about this one is a better deal than a 646 refurb

I probably did not notice, but the lowest price of the 646 was $399. The 545 was at 299 and 269 sometimes

if Amazon does a lower price on the Denon x2300 in response to this, I'll order it and call Onkyo on Monday to try and cancel the order if they haven't shipped out yet ( haven't gotten any notification mailed to me yet). But I checked around online and no one has dropped the price.

I've often wondered based on the ad how do you know what to Denon? It just says trusted brand. Do you go into the Fry's store and they tell you?

I am on the market to buy a new receiver and this looks like a great deal. I just signed up for Frys promo code, and did receive in e-mail, and I do see same flyer as you do, but when I click Trusted Brand, I see Pioneer VSX-1131. I do not see Denon 2300 for $400. I tried to add Denon to my cart and apply that promo code I received in email and Denon shows at $800.

How can I get this Denon promotion?

Buy online full price then apply code at store. Or Go to the store and pick it off the shelf.

Cool thanks, just reserved online for full price... will go to store now. Also just in case Frys store refuses to accept this promo code for Denon 2300, is there a way to tell from the email(flyer) that "Trusted Name Brand receiver" mentioned in here is Denon 2300. How did you guys figure it out? Smilie

I just got a refurb x4200w... but for $250 less (plus longer warranty than the refurb) this is tempting. Would have to give up the Audyssey XT32 and pre-out though.

Hmm...

EDIT: Just saw they have the x3300w for $550 too.

Do you have to pay for taxes on this receiver?
